About me

My name is Adriano Ivetić, I was born in Pula and graduated in history. My love for my city and its rich past inspired me to become a tour guide.
After my studies, I lived in Prague for several years, where I learned the Czech language and got to know a different culture that further enriched me.
Today, I happily guide visitors through the Arena, the Forum, the Temple of Augustus and the hidden streets of Pula. On my tours, you won’t just see the sights – I’ll tell you the stories, legends and curiosities that make this city special.
You’ll take home memories from Pula and the feeling that you’ve experienced the city through the eyes of a local, at least for a short while.

Plan Your Perfect Trip

On a hill in the city center sits the Pula Castle, a 17th-century Venetian fortress built to defend the city and port. Built on the site of older Roman and medieval fortifications, it now offers one of the most beautiful views of Pula and the surrounding archipelago. Inside the Castle is the Historical and Maritime Museum of Istria, where visitors can discover the region’s rich military and maritime past.

The Legend of the Arena and the Lions
Pula’s Walls and Towers – Guardians of the City

Pula is surrounded by a network of imposing fortresses built during the Austro-Hungarian Empire, when the city was an important military port. These fortifications, spread across the hills and coast, served to defend the city and today bear witness to its military past. Some of them have been converted into museums, galleries and cultural centers, making them an ideal place to explore history and enjoy the views of the sea and the city.

"

Myself & my partner had a great walking tour led by Adriano in Pula. He was extremely knowledgeable of the history of this beautiful city telling us lots of things we didn’t know. The tour lasted 2 hours & gave us plenty food for thought when we were exploring Pula ourselves. Would totally recommend one of Adriano’s tours, thank you.

"

I enjoyed a wonderful and very informative tour of the beautiful city of Pula together with a friend. This was provided by the Pula-born and bred guide Adriano. Thanks to the fact that he knows the city of Pula and its history like the back of his hand, you are constantly treated to, sometimes a tip to eat in a good restaurant for little, sometimes a less obvious must-see for the tourist to get to know the city in a different way. All in all, a big thumbs up for someone who knows how to put 2000 years of history into 2 hours, and delivers this in an amazingly entertaining way.
